Afton Inn to be razed in Front Royal plan
Front Royal town council backed demolition of the 150 year old Afton Inn after the EDA appealed a board decision. MODE Partnership LLC seeks to replace the building with a ground floor restaurant and top floor apartments at an estimated cost of about 2.1 million dollars.

Virginia Department of Transportation will open the realigned Winchester and Strasburg roads intersection in mid October. The new quadrant design at the north end of the South Fork features a loop in the southwest quadrant and new signals to permit all turns.
