Parkways plan advances with $6 million bridge loan
The county and EDA pursue a $6 million long term financing package with Davenport consultants and the Virginia Resource Authority to fund the Leach Run Parkway site and later convert the loan into a county payment for surplus property for a second Middle School. Final plans go to VDOT for approval with bids due July. In May five hearings approved zoning and development actions including a Marriott hotel and space lease on the Public Safety Building tower.
