SAAA Deepens Debt Paydown Aims for Local Fundraisers
SAAA Chief Galvin outlined four debt categories totaling 377 912 after nine months of progress. Local vendors hold 68977 to 36974 in past due amounts while a 100 000 line of credit sits at 95831 and a mortgage on the headquarters stands at 193 577. Nine months of fundraising and donations funded 57 912 of back debt, with no government monies used. The agency projects a surge in home delivered meals and WellTran transport needs as aging residents rise and adds two case managers per jurisdiction plus a new CFO, Rosemary Hennessy. Community support is strong as leadership plans three major fundraisers to cover ongoing obligations.
