Shenandoah NP to require online backcountry permits
Shenandoah National Park will switch to online backcountry camping permits starting Jan 11. A $6 permit fee plus a $9 per person recreation fee applies, with free permits ending Jan 10. the change aims to improve safety, tracking, and resource protection across the park.
