Fraternity members sue Rolling Stone over debunked rape story
Three University of Virginia graduates George Elias IV Stephen Hadford and Ross Fowler filed a lawsuit against Rolling Stone and writer Sabrina Rubin Erdely over the retracted campus rape article. The suit follows prior actions by an associate dean and comes as Wenner Media says Will Dana will leave the magazine next month. The case seeks to address damage to the plaintiffs identities and reputations amid a broader critique of the Rolling Stone reporting failures.
