Wakefield City Commission approves budget and bids
Regular meeting of the Wakefield Michigan City Commission on June 24 1936 approved the prior minutes and paid bills including payrolls and utility costs. It authorized purchases for sewer pipe road oil and paving and brick and lumber, and allowed curb and pavement work for the Board of Education. The commission discussed library funding tax levies and charter amendments, heard from the Pickands Mather Mining Company and Rotary Club, and proceeded to adopt the annual appropriation bill for 1936 37 while noting a $100 donation to the American Legion and a change machine purchase.
