Canter Wins Outstanding Senior Award at Bridgewater College
Harrisonburg resident Will Canter received Bridgewater College’s Outstanding Senior Award from the Department of Communication Studies at the May 6 awards convocation. A Spotswood High School graduate, Canter earned a framed certificate and college blanket and holds membership in the Philomathes Society and the Flory Fellowship of Scholars. He was named to Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges 2014 and plans a master’s in communication at Virginia Tech.

Jazzercise Classes Offered Mondays and Wednesdays at EACC
A new Jazzercise program runs 5 30 to 6 30 p m each Monday and Wednesday at Elkton Area Community Center on Blue and Gold Drive. The session blends jazz dance Pilates hip hop kickboxing and strength training with all fitness levels welcome. The cost is 15 a month paid to the instructor at class time.
