More than 15 Elkton area clubs and organizations joined the Elkton Area Community Center and Town of Elkton Economic and Community Development Department for the second annual clubs and organizations fair on May 22. Food was provided by East Rockingham Senior Center volunteers as attendees from groups such as the Elkton Blue Sox Elkton Area United Services Elkton High School Alumni Association Elkton Gateway Project Elkton Parks and Recreation Mountain View 4 H Club American Legion Elkton Welcome Center Junior Order Valley Program for Aging Services Gooden Brothers VFW Post 9292 Lions Club East Rockingham FCCLA Elkton Community Library and Elkton Progressive Improvement Committee gathered to view projects and plans for beautifying and revitalizing the community. Bailey wins leadership award at East Rockingham High

Elkton hosts Acoustic South concert in Berry lot
A Friday night gathering outside Douglas L. Berry Accounting drew several dozen residents for an Acoustic South concert hosted by the Elkton Welcome Center. The event featured bluegrass gospel and country tunes with door prizes such as Elkton mugs plates garden flags and bags. Prize recipients were Clarice Powell and Sue Armbruster. Local performers Cassady Merica Lora Ferrer and Mark Hensley performed as Ashley Williams played the mandolin.
