Cincinnati Governed Well Under Charter Reforms

The Charter Administration highlights airport gains at Lunken field and a hydro plane friendly site. It cites social welfare cooperation cutting juvenile offenses, unemployment study by the Permanent Committee on Stabilizing Employment, and health department funding increases from 1925 to 1929. It condemns old civil service politics and notes morale gains through political elimination.

Waste collection gains in Cincinnati under Charter Administration

No political shifts have occurred and employees may engage in political activity. The Charters Administration reports major waste collection improvements, including an electric tractor trial, first of its size. Ashes and rubbish are now collected at kitchen doors, not street lines, with trailer units boosting service and lowering costs. In 1928 eleven tons cost less to handle than ten tons in 1927.
