Oshkosh Man Found Dead In Water Ditch
A. L. Billingsley 71, Garden county pioneer, was found dead in an irrigation ditch near Oshkosh after being missing since Tuesday. A 38 caliber bullet was in his heart. a revolver lay nearby. Billingsley had long farmed the Garden county area and is survived by his wife and six children.

50 Hour Pump Test Is Success Near Potter
William Hagemeister of Potter completed a 50 hour pump irrigation test, pumping 1509 gallons per minute at 28 15 cents per hour. Total cost listed at 1410 dollars, excluding tractor wear and hired help. Tractor fuel was 12.40 dollars. Hagemeister ran the W30 McCormick-Deering at about half speed and believes 1500 gallons per minute is the most economical capacity.

Mrs. Mark Schilz aged 59 of Peetz died in a Sidney hospital after a two month illness. She underwent lower leg amputation surgery last week but did not recover. John A. Perkins Dies No Service In Sidney
John A. Perkins, a six year Sidney insurance agent for Security Mutual, died of pneumonia after a brief illness. He came from Lincoln to Sidney, was known in Cheyenne county, and there will be no funeral in Sidney. A sunset graveside service will be held in Crete. He is survived by his wife, a daughter Mrs Glen Thomas of Hastings, a grandchild, a brother, and a sister. Rice funeral service handles arrangements.

6000 Attend Alliance Stampede On Sunday
The 16th annual panhandle stampede in Alliance drew 6000 spectators on Sunday.
