Glen Doyle 17 of Tyler Texas, claiming parole as an industrial school inmate, is jailed in Cheyenne County on an assault with intent to rob charge. He allegedly struck Victor Hernandez 42 with a board on a Union Pacific freight train headed toward Sidney. Doyle, who said Hernandez carried 3800, reported that two other men left the car. Hernandez overpowered and bound Doyle before police arrived in Sidney.

Bayard Pageant Opens Tonight Through Friday

Four Women Injured In Accident East Of Sidney
Four women were injured in a Monday automobile crash caused by a blow-out seven miles east of Sidney. Mrs. Rebecca Cowan of Chicago and Mrs. Esther Fink of Los Angeles suffered the most serious injuries with back strains. x rays showed no fractures. Miss Ann Cowan, driver, said the vehicle may have slowed after a fire had gone down, while officials noted brake marks on the oil pavement.
