Rittman Probe into Hyuor Laws Enforcement Under Way

Rabith Involved in Dual Battles and Divorce Action

Loyal Oaks Inn beer dealer jailed over fines

Adam Pinter, a Loyal Oaks Inn dealer, was jailed in Akron after authorities revived and enforced a $760 portion of a $1,000 fine from July 31 for selling intoxicants. Earlier arrests and suspensions led Summit County officials to push the case to Judge Spicer, who ordered Pinter jailed until the remaining fine is paid.

Labor Day Ball Tournament And Gun Club Shoot In Rittman

An all day event in Rittman features a labor day ball tournament with teams from Smathville Canaan Deviestown and Haittunwap. Two morning games start at 9 with a second after the first. afternoon games begin at 2 20 with three cash prizes for the top teams. The athletic field hosts the games and refreshments will be on site. The Rittman gun club runs an all day shoot starting at 9 am awarding prizes to first second and third place.

Milton Board Retains Attorney In Bond Sale Suit

The Milton township board of education has kept Attorney T W Orr of Orrville to represent it in a suit filed by Ernest McConnell seeking a permanent injunction blocking bond sales and a $50,000 school building at Sterling. McConnell's suit, filed three weeks ago, followed a temporary restraining order issued by Judge Star. The case will be heard on McConnell’s request to make the injunction permanent. Notice will be given on Tuesdays and Thursdays. As Bituman, 2 1/2 miles southwest of Rittman.

Squirrel Season Opens September Fifteenth

The open season for hunting squirrels begins September 15 and ends October 10 with both days inclusive. Wardens warn violations will be prosecuted. hunters may kill only five squirrels per day and selling them carries a fine of 25 to 200 dollars. Duck season runs September 16 to December 31 with hunting allowed Sunday excluded from one half hour before sunrise to sunset.

Wooster Tire Plant to Close and Move to Cumberland

The Wooster plant of the Kelly Springfield Tire Co will close within two months and production will shift to the Cumberland Maryland main plant. Machinery is being shipped to Histpointeside with the rest to follow. about 120 workers were employed and their jobs will be gradually reduced as the plant shuts down over the coming weeks.

Brake Fails On Steep Hill In East Liverpool

W F Rike and family traveling to Carnegie Pennsylvania for a two week vacation faced a brake failure on a steep East Liverpool hill. They used the emergency brake to coast safely into a street. An inspection showed a broken transmission later repaired at an East Liverpool garage after several hours. Bill believes he narrowly escaped a serious mishap.

Dennis Pinehas Sunday reports the bodies of Francee Dennla and Corporals Harry Braunack and Won F. Stoudenheimer will arrive in Wooster. A triple funeral is set for Sunday with separate services at the German Reformed, Presbyterian, and Methodist churches at 2 pm, followed by joint procession and one general service at the cemetery with military honors from Company K.
