Orrville Plane Accident Halts Flight at Field East of Town
An Orrville airplane piloted by Asvator Letehity veered after an early evening takeoff near the avinden field. The nose sank into the ground as the wheels hit soft earth, leaving the craft upright. Fire at Schneider property in Rittman minor damage
An alarm sent the Rittman fire department to the Schneider hillside property near the opera house. A gas valve ignited a door frame but firefighters used a chemical extinguisher to stop the blaze with only slight damage to the door frame. The Hummel and Miller families are named in the report.

Daniel Graber a prominent Milton township farmer living southwest of Sterling suffered a paralysis stroke Sunday evening after returning from the Lower church. He had attended the funeral of Forest C Welser, who was killed in France. Graber had been in good health and his illness came unexpectedly. recovery is hoped.

Beloved Child Dies After Illness
Little Tracella Shook aged 17 months died Saturday night after a three week illness from Tleo Colitis. Funeral Monday at 8 30 PM at the parents home with Rev. Robert Platter of Milton Presbyterian Church conducting. Interment followed at Knapp cemetery. The loss brings deep sorrow to Mr and Mrs Tracey Shook and their many friends.
