November 23 is Thanksgiving Day with all day football games and no school. November 24 also has no school. November 26 Pac-Mar Campers gather at 5 30 p m for a pot luck supper. November 27 Milton Township Homemakers meet at 7 30 p m. November 28 Buckeye Garden Club and Delta Club meet at 8 p m Fireman's Auxiliary at 7 30 p m and Rittman Booster Club at 8 p m.

Simmons resigns from Becton Dickinson to lead Morton-Norwich
John W. Simmons 53, president and COO of Becton Dickinson since 1960, resigns to become president and CEO of Morton-Norwich. Daniel Peterkin Jr. remains Morton-Norwich chairman. Plans for Rittman Lions Club Meetings and Christmas Night
The Rittman Lions Club met Monday at Williams Restaurant with Ray Muller and the Telford in charge. The next meeting is December 4 with Tom Leatherman and Tom Flynn in charge. The annual Christmas Ladies Night is December 18 with Bob Gillman and Ken Leatherman coordinating. Two new members, Mike Wilkinson and Wayne Ambrose, were welcomed. Graveside services were held November 18 for Mary Jo Beougher infant daughter of Dwight and Jane Beougher of Westerville. She is survived by her parents a brother a paternal grandmother and maternal grandparents and burial was at Green Summit Cemetery Adelphi.

Keith Martin, assistant plant manager at Morton Salt in Rittman, is named plant manager of the Newark California Morton Salt plant. He joined Morton Salt in 1960 and progressed from plant engineer in Manistee to Weeks Louisiana project engineer, then Rittman assistant plant manager in 1965. He graduated from Purdue in 1960 with a chemical engineering degree. He and his wife Kathy and sons Jeffrey and Tim live in Wadsworth. he is active in the local church and Boy Scouts.
