Memorial Day Parade and Services for Rittman
Rittman will observe Memorial Day on Monday May 30 with a parade forming at Gordon's garage at 2 pm and marching to the square. A 3:30 pm service at Rittman cemetery will feature Father John Duffey state Legion chaplain and wreath laying for navy dead. If rain, services move to the high school auditorium.

Zdravje Fatally Injured at Ohio Boxboard Plant
John Zdravje 54 died from head and neck injuries suffered at Ohio Boxboard Co while lubricating a conveyor. He worked 16 years there and four as an otler. Funeral held May 21 at St. Anne's with Rev. Fr John T Farrell officiating. Survived by brother Frank, mother Mary, sisters Mary Rhitar and Francis, and stepson Michael Serjack.

Booster Club To Sponsor Rodeo On June 19
The Rittman Boosters Club and C. S Laddie Club sponsor a bronco busting rodeo Sunday June 19 on the Charles Heffelman farm east of the underpass along Route 94 about one mile north of the city. Lawrence Wilmot booster club president announced the event and a raffle of a $300 television set for attendees.

Andrew Pecith Dies Sunday in Ohio Village
Andrew Pecith 69 died at his home east of Rittman Sunday morning after a stroke Friday. Former Ohio Boxboard Company employee for 21 years he retired with a pension in March 1948. A native of Czechoslovakia he is survived by wife Elizabeth two daughters Margaret Kuntz and Mary Morton both of Rittman and two grandchildren. Funeral services were held Wednesday at St Anne's church with Rev John T Farrell officiating burial followed in Rittman cemetery.

Boy Killed as Bicycle Slips Into Truck Path Near Wadsworth
Dickie Huff twelve, son of Mr and Mrs J A Huff of Wadsworth road, was killed instantly Wednesday night on Route 94 less than a mile south of Wadsworth. He rode south as the truck driven by his cousin Walter E Kelley of Doyles town road, carrying scrap paper, horned and he veered left to miss him, tipping the trailer and dragging the bicycle into the truck’s fender. State police and Wadsworth officers redirected traffic while wreckage was cleared. the boy had bought the bicycle about two weeks earlier with mowing earnings. Surviving are his parents two brothers Forestly and James two half brothers Truman and Norval two sisters Linda and Eileen and a friend Ronald Shockey noted the boy’s recent purchase.

Hugh Wesley Hooser died Tuesday at his Fort Gay home Kentucky. Final rites are set for Friday at 2 30 pm. His son Homer Hooser and sister in law Mrs Harry Huff will attend along with other relatives and friends traveling to Kentucky for the funeral.
