Former Resident Estella Mae Basinger Dies at 75
Services were held in Toledo for Estella Mae Basinger sister of R V Fredrick and Ida Clarke of Rittman aged 75. Survived by four children Fred Horace Agnes Rachel and a sister Fannie Thornton. Husband Lee Thornton died May 18 in Akron. Burial at Roselawn Memorial Park Fairlawn Ohio.

Eighth graders will present the program for the Junior High Commencement at the high school on May 31. One hundred thirty one students receive diplomas from the Rittman Board of Education. The Cadet Band directed by Gene Sharick and the Girls Chorus, Mixed Chorus and Boys Chorus directed by Marian Warren will perform. Two choral readings include The Twenty Third Psalm and Pied Piper of Hamlin. Patricia Robinson Catherine Imhoff and Portia Kinch give original essays. Kathy Bernhardt plays Gop nods Marche Romaine for the eighth graders. Rev Charles Turner will deliver the invocation and benediction.

Thirty seven members performed as three judges awarded top marks, with the group gaining another spring accolade. The band will perform next at eighth grade commencement on May 31.

Dedicate Calvary Baptist Church At Special Services This Sunday
Calvary Baptist Church will dedicate its new West Sunset Drive edifice Sunday at 2 30 PM with Dr Ray Roberts delivering the dedication message.
