Mrs. Moss Robinson of Akron has cared for fifteen foster children in ten years, taking in abused and neglected kids from broken homes. She began after three boys lost their mother, later helped Linda and Larry, Susie and Judy, Blond Billy, and many other youths, with support from Wayne County Child Welfare. Her husband supports Jimmie, a two-year-old colored child, and Ann Elizabeth helps with the group.

Some Progress in PCA Union Contract Talks
Negotiations between Packaging Corporation of America and the International Brotherhood of Pulp Sulphite and Paper Mill Workers Local 150 continue with signs of progress. The contract expires June 15 after talks since April 9 and daily sessions since May 15. The union seeks 21 major changes plus 25 to 30 cents an hour in economic benefits including higher insurance and bonuses. A federal mediator joined May 15 with no agreement, daily meetings since then, and union approval to strike if positions do not shift.

Services Held For Henry Jackson 65
Services were held Thursday at First Brethren Church for Henry J. Jackson aged 65 of 37 North Seneca Street who died Monday at Orrville Osteopathic Hospital after a long illness. He retired from Packaging Corporation of America January 1 after 32 years as a store supervisor. A native of Dalton, he lived in Marshallville, then moved to Rittman in 1940. Survivors include his wife Carrie two sons Edward of Westerville and Harrison Heady of Elkhart three grandchildren. Military rites were by Orrville American Legion Post and burial in Orrville Cemetery. Reverend Charles Turner officiated Gillman Haines Funeral Home in charge.

Summer Typing May Be Offered At Rittman High School
A summer typing program for students and adults may be offered if demand exists. Registrations were distributed at Rittman High School. If enough interest, a six week course runs June 11 to July 27 with vacation week July 4. Classes meet weekdays 8 to 10 am for 60 hours and earn one quarter credit.

Doris Batman Wins Scholarship at PTA Awards
