Twenty seven seniors graduated in the high school auditorium with Frederick Snyder named valedictorian and Ethel Hershey salutatorian. Snyder carried a 94 average and Hershey a 93 with all A grades this year. Third honors went to Marjorie Bauman as the program featured processional, salutatory, address by Paul W Barrett, diplomas presented by W W Badarger, and benediction by Rev C J McGee.

Rural electricity users reject new power rates
Rural residents served by the Reserve Power and Light Company rejected an optional rate offer said to reduce costs for large consumers. The proposal sets first 40 KW H at 8 cents, next 20 at 5 cents, and all over 60 KW H at 3 cents with a $3.50 minimum charge. Third B W Bach Festival Planned For June 7 8
The Baldwin Wallace Conservatory of Music Berea Ohio plans a two day Bach Festival on Friday June 7 and Saturday June 8 with a Mass in B Minor in two parts and a chamber concert. Churches To Hold Religious School Beginning June Third
The cooperative Protestant churches of Rittman will start their religious vacation school on June third for four weeks. Teachers include Mrs J Gipe for juniors and Mrs Andrew Hostetler for beginners, with additional staff if enough early intermediate students enroll. The school operates in the lower grade building with Mr G W Mol in charge of the facility. 119 children enrolled last year and organizers hope for a strong turnout again. Parents are urged to send children and help make this the best vacation school in Rittman’s history.
