Hangs Stepfather of Rittman Woman at Folsom Prison

Tully McQuate stepfather of Mrs Ralph Gilbert of Rittman was hanged at Folsom Prison California for the sack murder of his benefactress Ella Shaw The last minute request to walk escorted was granted by Warden Court Smith True to his request McQuate walked the steps alone at 1001 am then the trap was sprung and he died at 1012 am He had lived in Ashland previously and shared Mrs Shaw's home for a year Police found Mrs Shaw's body floating in two trunks in San Diego Bay in 1933

Notre Dame to Graduate 635 in 1931 Class

Claire Burger named among 635 Notre Dame graduates. Tax Commission to Enforce Sales Tax Law

The Tax Commission will strictly enforce sales tax collection and stamping rules. District Manager A B Mabee says all vendors must file information returns before June 1 unless extension is granted by the commission in Columbus, or risk summons to show cause for license cancellation. Wayne County vendors are urged to file on time.

Stamp Club Growth Sparks Local Hobby Boom

Max Wile Dies After Illness on West Park Street
