Jane Emch of Rittman and Frank Clason of West Salem win the Ohio Boxboard Company Foundation annual scholarships worth 2000 dollars, awarded to children of OBCo employees. Jane will attend Ohio State University in pre veterinary studies. Frank graduates from Northwestern High, both sustaining required scholastic standards. Alternate winners Mary Perry and Lorena Starcher named.

Dr Ripple and family R S Ripple and children Bob Steve Becky will leave Rittman June 24 for Fort Lauderdale Florida. They sold their home at 78 South Main St. and will join Dr Donald Rose of Rimersburg Pa who will take over the practice. Dr Rose a Philadelphia College of Osteopathy graduate interned at Grove City Pa and served six years in the US Navy. He is father of five.

Recreation Director Homer Pyle announces the Rittman swimming pool will open Memorial Day with daily hours 1 to 5 and 5 to 9. Prices remain unchanged with season tickets at 20 for family, 10 for adult couple, 8 for adults and 6 for students. general admission 20 cents for students and 50 cents for adults. Church on 94 Purchases Land for New Building
The Church on 94 south of Rittman along Route 94 has bought land to construct a permanent building to accommodate growth. The undenominational congregation meets in the Rittman Union for now. Minister Bob Chambers, a San Jose Bible College and Midwestern School of Evangelism graduate, has led area churches for 13 years and previously conducted evangelistic campaigns across the nation.
