Pacific Construction to Get Rittman Sewage Plant Contract
The Pacific Construction Company of Akron is expected to be awarded the sewage plant addition contract at an adjourned Council session Monday. Low bid $227,954 after engineering review by Stillson and Associates. City Manager Mann will seek approval, with work to begin within two weeks of notice and 30 day completion. Contingency brings project to about $275,000. rate cuts may be studied after completion.

Civil War Theme For May Program At High School
The May Day musical program, 8 p m Friday May 12 in the high school gym, features the Concert band under Gene Sharick and the high school choruses directed by Mrs Marion Warren. An operetta style program titled The Ballad of the North and South frames a musical narration with band numbers Southern Salute a new arrangement of America the Beautiful and Stars and Stripes March. Tickets cost 75 cents for adults and 35 cents for children.

Another Crash On Bloody 94 At County Road 70

Hall Confined With Kidney Stones At Hospital
Ashton Hall, Rittman High School coach and councilman, was rushed to Wadsworth Municipal Hospital Tuesday night with kidney stones. His condition was described as good today, and he is expected to remain confined for several more days, according to Mrs Hall.

State Lax On Inspection Of Rt.94 Charges
Councilman Avery Kinch charged the State Highway Department with lax traffic checks on Route 94 east of Rittman after recent accidents including a fatality at Route 94 and County Road 70. Hold Community Drive To Obtain Library Donations
The Friends of the Library plan a house-to-house canvass in the first week of June to raise Rittman’s share of the library purchase. Campaign chairman Hubert Squibbs names Mrs Ralph Gwaltney to lead the canvass, with aid from ten clubs and area divisions. Donations from industry, business, and individuals will occur before June 1, with pledges possible for three years and most funds raised this year toward the $8,500 goal.

Services Sunday For Seth W Wright 55 Doylestown
Funeral services Sunday at 1 pm for Seth W Wright 55 co owner of three Ben Franklin Stores in Rittman Dalton and Doylestown. He died Wednesday night at Burton Citizens Hospital after a heart attack two weeks earlier. He leaves wife Carola daughter Mrs Gary Fleming of Doylestown two brothers Max and David of Rittman two sisters Wilma Wright of San Francisco and Mrs Alice Green of Bainbridge NY and two granddaughters. He was active in civic life, a member of Doylestown Methodist Church, and former Lions Club and Masons official.

Mary Workman and John Rohrer led the fifth annual Junior Achievement Future Unlimited Banquet with top girl and boy achiever awards. Workman earned trophies for top girl achiever and top region sales and received attendance certificates and a national conference invitation. Rohrer won outstanding boy achiever, held perfect attendance, and served as master of ceremonies as about 100 attended.
