Christian E. Rhonemus, practicing attorney in Rittman for 16 years, announced the formation of Rhonemus & Dalbey. Dalbey, from Butler, Ohio, has been with Rhonemus since October 1949. He attended the College of Wooster and earned a law degree from the University of Cincinnati. They will office at 16 N Main St Sherman.

May Festival Features Folk Music at Rittman High
The May Festival showcases folk music Friday May 11 at 6:30 p.m. on the football field or in the high school auditorium if it rains. Sponsored by the Music Department, the event honors May queen Dana Bean. The program includes the high school chorus, a school band, soloist Frances Wiles, and an eighth grade dancing group.

City Awards Bids for Rittman Street Resurfacing and Oil Work
City officials opened bids for resurfacing and oiling Rittman streets. McCart Construction Co of Akron led resurfac ing bids at 8202.20 for West Ohio street and 12474 for Salt Street. Jones Construction Co of Wooster won the oiling job at 5346.50 with Lytle Constructs Co also bidding 5704.80. Jones also won Front Street macadam paving at 2379.28 and sealing holes on concrete streets. Stewart Gibson Co of Cleveland won an Oliver tractor bid over Silver King by J Turner Inc of Cleveland. Finish by June 1.

Total of 19 more names are being added to the Honor Roll of Servicemen this week. These are names of men whose pictures have been published in the Rittman Press since the Honor Roll was last published on March 22. This makes a total of 79 whose pictures we have printed since Jan. 1, 1951. Parents of boys not on the Honor Roll are urged to mail a suitable photo and fill out the information on a published blank. A head and shoulders photo in uniform is preferred. The Press will print the photo at no charge and pay engraving costs to keep the Honor Roll up to date.

Colombian Speaker Addresses Akron Club Women
Miss Ofelia Velez spoke at the Three Arts Club meeting hosted by Neva Higgins in Akron. She urged better neighborly understanding for world peace and noted 23,000 foreign students in America this year. Velez, an assistant professor at the College of Wooster, plans to return to Colombia to teach English. The group voted to aid the County Mental Health Association and handed $77.35 from last year’s recreation fund to the village Recreation Commission.
