About 2000 spectators attended Rittman High School winter concert directed by Lester Eckert. Virginia Wenger sang a baritone piece, Stors in a Velvety Sky, and the overture to Donna Juanita by Von Suppe was chosen for a Kent State contest. Band members earned Mother's contest prizes: Joann Peters won 8 dollars, Kay Peters 2 dollars, and Betty Frey 1 dollar. Mrs. C. B. Shook is hospitalized at Akron City Hospital.
