Pvt Charles W Jackson son of W M Jackson of 200 E Circuit Rd enlisted in December 1950 and was sent to Camp Breckinridge Kentucky then Camp Pickett Virginia with the 434nd Engineers Construction Battalion. During furlough he married Nancy Lou Hargis February 2 1952 of Laurel Maryland. He sailed for Germany via New York February 20 1952 after attending school in Rittman and prior to enlistment worked for Smuckers of Orrville.
