Two Armed Robbers Still Remain At Large In Ohio Case
Nationwide police search targets Trent Boyes age 25 and Robert Boyes age 30, linked to multiple Ohio robberies. Five other members of the gang are in custody. Trent, formerly of Rittman, later lived in Wadsworth. Robert, once of Rittman, lived in Portsmouth. A vehicle belonging to them was found abandoned in Montgomery County. Trent reportedly confessed to participation in five of 11 robberies including a $1,300 theft at a Kinsman market. Sixty six Lions members and guests attended the Rittman Lions Club Ladies Night banquet at the American Legion hall. Funeral services were held Wednesday at Hahn Funeral Home Barberton and Holy Trinity Church for Mathias Carl Woog 71 who died Sunday at Barberton Citizens Hospital after a two year illness. Born in Yugoslavia he lived in Barberton 33 years moved to Rittman a year ago retired six years ago as a watchman at Diamond Match Co. He was a member of Holy Trinity Church and is survived by wife Elizabeth daughters Eva Sells Munroe Tenn Helen Gabrie Clinton four sons Carl and Frank Barberton John Canal Fulton Joe Rittman 13 grandchildren and sister Elizabeth Schmidt Ewing Mo. The Rev Nicholas Denyl officiated burial was in Holy Cross cemetery.

A revived interest in youth issues grows as Rittman’s Mayor Citizens Committee studies the problem on several fronts. Two-Car Crash Hurts Three On Route 5 Near Orrville
Eli D. Miller 74 RD Marshallville is hospitalized with pelvic fracture and contusions after a morning crash on Route 5 when his car pulled from a driveway into the path of Mary K. Miller driving another vehicle. The Rittman PTA will buy a $400 two year Memorial Scholarship for a Rittman High School graduate pursuing teaching. Boy Gets Probation For Theft of Pop
Judge Floyd Derhammer of the Medini juvenile court placed a Rittman boy on probation after he was involved in stealing soda from Wadsworth Stadium. He must report monthly and pay a 15 dollar fine plus costs, 10 dollars of which go to the stadium fund. Four other Medina County youths under probation in Wooter County Court were lectured, with no further sentence imposed.
