Church to Observe Priest Ordination Jubilee
Friends of Father John Farrell pastor of St Ann's plan a celebration for his 50 years of priesthood on Sunday June 19. Farrell was ordained June 17 1905 at St Mary's Seminary Cleveland and has served the local parish since 1922 except for a brief vacancy. Judge Myron Brenneman presided over six Rittman teenagers charged with 23 break-ins. Each boy confessed and received a 60 day jail term with probation until age 18. Prosecutor Lichty called it the worst juvenile crime outbreak in his tenure.

A repeat performance of the Rittman PTA Showboat Minstrels will be given Saturday evening at the Marshallville school. The show is sponsored in Marshallville by the Boy Scout Committee.
