The Hill Burton Commission approved bidding for the new Wadsworth Rittman Area Hospital site west of Wadsworth. William Rundle says ads will start next week and bids open about 30 days later. FBI agents searched Rittman last week seeking information on narcotics charges tied to a Kent State University student. Two college acquaintances were questioned, cooperated, but provided no useful clues into the case.
State and federal governments may fund 94 percent of the Chippewa Watershed project, enabling early construction. Two juveniles arrested at 133 Pinewood during a disturbance at the Williams home were found guilty of assault in Wayry County Juvenile Court. Each was fined 33.25 and had driving licenses suspended six months after guardians agreed to cover medical bills of 146 for Jerry Sprague of Doylestown. The incident followed a 15 member gang from Wadsworth attempting to crash Rittman High School’s annual senior party. a third accomplice, aged 19, had already forfeited a 35 bond.

Mrs Carolyn Warren directs Rittman High School Girls Ensemble which earned a first in vocal music at Kent State University with nine singers performing White Swan by Gustav Klemm. The group, praised for tone and flexibility, previously won firsts in 1962 1963 and 1964 under her leadership, with medals awarded at the Kent State event.
