Grandmother Page and the Car Trouble Tale
A fragmented narrative follows Grandmother Page and her owner along a back country road. The speaker frets over Maryella as they argue about walking home, an encounter with Jim Cooper in a racing car, and a staged drama of automotive misadventures. The piece ends with a tease of continued escapades and a distant note of a whiskey receipt found later.
