Services held for Owen Doc Snyder at Gillman Funeral Home
Funeral services for Owen C. Snyder 66 were held at Gillman Funeral Home with Dr. D T R McLean officiating. Snyder suffered a heart attack while mowing at 101 N Main St and died about 1 PM. He owned Snyder's Diner six years and had lived in several states including Washington and Ohio. He was a World War I veteran and active in multiple lodges and Lions Clubs. Burial was in Greenlawn Cemetery in Columbus after Masonic services.

Monday night council debated rezoning three lots on Sheldon Ave near the high school for commercial use to expand Rich and Fisher businesses. Fisher described a 34 by 65 foot one story building. Flooding from heavy rains prompted complaints about storm sewers and downspout connections to sanitary sewers violating village ordinance. City Engineer Smith suggested a smoke test to locate leaks. Electrical shock and fall injure worker at plant
Floyd Miller was shocked by a 440 volt crane trolley wire and fell several feet while trying to open windows at Ohio Boxboard Company. The accident occurred about 10 45 p m Tuesday night. He is reported in fair condition at Wadsworth Hospital. injuries mainly from the fall.
