The Wadsworth Lions announce a five night carnival from June 18 to 22 featuring radio stars games rides and concessions with all proceeds benefiting Adsworth Memorial Park. Highlights include the Wadsworth Township Cowboys quartet from WJW Cleveland and Pappy Howard's Jamboree plus a yet to be announced attraction. The first show is Tuesday June 18 and the final event Friday June 21.

Rittman Vets dropped a Saturday game at Lorain as Craig yielded five hits and a walk while Thom as allowed seven hits for Lorain. Moyer and Garrad each collected two hits, Pawlak starred for Lorain, and the final was 6 0. Sunday Rittman beat Youngstown 11 to 8 behind Skraba who led with five out of five at the plate. Arson Charge Stemming From Front Street Fire
Fire gutted the Glenn Rutter residence on Front Street in a 1:30 Sunday blaze. Glenn Rutter, held on arson charges after the fire, with Deputy State Fire Marshal C. R. Maine and an Insurance Underwriters official involved. A Monday hearing recessed until next week. Rutter released on $500 bond. The house belonged to Eric Peronis.

The 39th Fixler Family reunion was held at Rittman Central Park on Sunday June 9 with 68 relatives and friends present. Nine ex service men attended among the crowd.
