The Misses Margaret and Mary Brenneman returned Tuesday night from a trip spent in Chicago and St. Louis. They traveled by auto, Earl Bawlis of Cleveland drove the car. In Chicago they were joined by their brother, orth Oy P.

Vocal music by Mrs Gebhart and others followed the business portion of the meeting.

A lightning bolt struck the roof of a Bart building near Anderson, southwest of Bittman, causing extensive damage. The surge blew through a six inch iron pipe, flooded a well with 12 000 gallons of water, and blew concrete fragments within a 60 foot radius. Water drained after about 12 hours. Plans for lightning arrestors and safety devices were not yet in place. The Anderson family expressed thanks for surviving without serious injury. The storm affected areas mostly north of Rittman.

Mrs Barbara Clippinger reports the deaths of her brother Mike Hardenshield and nephew George Hardenshield. George resided in Barberton and died Sunday morning May 26. Mike died the same day in the evening. Both were buried at Loudonville at the Lutheran church. Mrs Clippinger could not attend due to illness.
