Death of Emil F. Habis Brings Sorrow to Rittman and Ravenna
Emil F. Habis, a longtime Rittman resident and 62, died suddenly July 19 in Ravenna where he worked as an engineer for the city water works. His body was returned to Rittman for funeral services at the Presbyterian church conducted in Rev De Foe’s absence. He was interred at Krapp's cemetery beside his infant child. He left a widow and a wide circle of friends in the community unable to comfort their loss.

A semi annual appropriation ordinance and a pay ordinance were passed by suspension of the rules authorizing six months of village expenditures through December 31 and listing bills paid including power for the disposal plant and telephone rent. Bids for the Salt Street paying job close Friday noon, with a delay if none are received. even with bids completion this fall is doubtful.

Injunction Against Gettings Blocks Wheat Straw Removal
