Burglaries Hit B and O Depot With Small Loot Found
Burglars visited the B and O depot Tuesday night breaking a window to enter the office and prying the window latch. They opened the cash drawer but took only a small amount. Rev D. Paul Herriott’s trunk, stored in the depot, was broken into but the owner had left for Pennsylvania and the trunk followed later. The theft went unnoticed until the next morning and the missing trunk was later recovered at the old tie shop.
