Roy F Hershey Dies Saturday at 52 in Barberton
Roy F Hershey aged 52 died Saturday at Citizens Hospital Barberton after illness of 18 months. Born in Doylestown he lived there all his life and worked as foreman at Rich-Well Barberton for 27 years receiving a long service pin. Survived by his wife Lola and five daughters, two sons in law, six grandchildren, his father Bertram Hershey, three brothers and three sisters. Services were held at Mon Barben Funeral Home with Rev David Tate and interment at Chestnut Cemetery.

Race course north of Wooster on Route 76 will host the Wayne County Soap Box Derby this Sunday with races at 2 p.m. DST. Cars are checked Thursday and Friday at the National Guard Armory in Wooster, then transported to the course for impounding until race time. The Rittman school board approved a 1955 budget of 280 580 for the coming year and named Ralph Bauer Windham to teach science in the high school. Rittman Soldier Serves With Korean Bayonet Division
Cpl. Roy E. Resecker of Rittman is a cook in Medical Company of the 17th Regiment of the 7th Infantry Division in Korea. The unit, the Bayonet division, has remained in Korea since the cease fire. He has been overseas since June 1954 after attending Green Local High School.

New City Dump Rules Approved by Rittman Council
