New post office planned for Rittman Ohio
A telegram from June 28 states the Bureau of the Budget approved a lease purchase post office building for Rittman at 136 775 dollars total including 10 000 for a site west of West Ohio Avenue between Main and First. The 6 500 square foot one story masonry structure will be built private capital and leased to the post office for 20 years before becoming its property. Private bidders will be invited after specifications are released.

Crazy Hat Parade and Two Basketball Games Planned
The Rittman Recreation program schedules a Friday Crazy Hat Parade at Central Park 10 30 a m open to children 12 and under with six prizes for categories such as funnest prettiest and most original.
