Cancer Crusade set to begin in Wayne County
The 1957 Cancer Crusade launches in Wayne County on February 15 with a goal of 19 000. House to house canvassing starts February 15 and ends February 23, with 60 percent kept locally for medical aid and information and 40 percent sent to national research. Local captains Mrs. Kenneth Osborne and Mrs. Ralph Gwaltney urge community support to meet the county target of 19 900 and highlight cancer as a leading killer. more captains to be announced next week.
