Mr. Stanton Thomas, 40, died Friday at the Soldiers' Home in Sandusky. He was the father of A H Thomas, a local druggist. The Civil War veteran attended Salem, Ohio funerals last Monday and was long known for frequent visits to Rittman.

Milton Township Farmers' Institute reports strong turnout at a two day event in Sterling High School Auditorium. Sessions ran Monday and Tuesday with a comedy by Velvet Curtain Players raising over 100 dollars, not covering all expenses. a cafeteria lunch was provided.
