Open House Honors Doylestown Fire Chief

Doylestown Fire Chief P. Carl Whitman was honored at an open house at Sts Peter and Paul School Hall for more than 50 years of service. He organized the first fire department, helped acquire early equipment, and led multiple civic efforts including a 1955 fire station, a 1969 Citizen of the Year award, and flood response in 1969.

Salt Street Area Tot Lot Plan and City Updates

Ohio Legionaires Meet In Columbus

Sterling Woman's Father Buried

Martin J. Bihn died at 68 after a home illness and death at Lodi Community Hospital on Monday, January 8. He lived on Norwalk Road near Mallet Creek and recently moved to 3812 Erhart Road in Litchfield. Survived by widow Helen, daughter Mary Menegay, four sons, 17 grandchildren, nine siblings including Fr. Cletus Bihn CPRS, Fort Recovery, and Fr. Joseph Buescher. funeral Mass led by his brother Fr. Cletus and Fr. Buescher at St. Anne's in Rittman.
