Collection of New Taxes To Begin In February At Rates Now Approved
Nearly every tax district in the county will pay a higher property tax rate on the 1935 duplicate than for 1934. The increases were approved Monday by the state tax commission as presented by the Wayne county budget commission. One mill of the increase is due to the grandstand levy, disapproved by this section but voted in Wooster by an overwhelming margin. Townships show higher rates with several topping eleven mills. Rittman village at 18.90 mills remains below six villages. Details follow.

Square To Have Hanging Light In Rittman Public Square
A new suspended three color four interval traffic light is due in the Rittman public square by February 1. Village Clerk Roy Baker and Street Committee Chairman Clarence Bruny said the light from W. B. Darley Co. of Chicago will be installed after a state highway permit is issued. High steel poles will be installed at Ohio avenue intersections this week under Mr Bruny’s supervision. The old monumental light will be removed, clearing the streets.

Officials Rescue Mrs Getting’s Stranded Cow
