Four in Wooster drug theft arraigned after theft at Family Drug Store
Four suspects, three men and a woman, were arraigned in municipal court in Wooster after patrol officers spotted a 1967 Plymouth near the square and linked it to a break-in at the Family Drug Store. Sharon Knight alias Sharon Briggs, 26, of Akron, Richard Yauger, 19, of Akron, Clarence Gear, 18, of Akron, and a 17 year old juvenile were charged with breaking and entering. Knight released on 1000 dollar bond. Yauger and Gear remained in custody. Juvenile to Summit County authorities. Theft attempt at Laundromat on North Main Street left four youths fleeing. machines damaged and pry tools seized.

Louie Kitts will return home this week after a long hospital period following a motorcycle accident at Speedway 42 Wooster last June. He endured leg surgery, muscle grafting, gangrene, amputation, and multiple follow up operations, then received an artificial leg and therapy with strong support from Rittman High students and staff.

Rate dispute prompts new hearing for United Ohio

Woodrow Jackson Sr 54 of 138 Medina Street died Friday morning from an apparent heart attack while walking home from work. Born May 30 1917 in Wayne West Virginia he lived in Rittman since 1943 and worked 25 years at Packaging Corp of America. Survived by wife Henrietta children Carol Jenmine Woodrow Jr and Terry four brothers six sisters and several in laws. Services at Calvary Baptist Church conducted by Rev William K McComas were held Monday with burial in Rittman Cemetery.
