Roelice Notes Paul Vetter fined 100 dollars and three days in jail for living while intoxicated. Herbert Walker fined 20 dollars and two weeks in jail with jail sentence suspended. Carl Loman and Glen McCloud fined 30 dollars and two weeks in jail for stealing gasoline. Neither could pay fines and were placed in jail. Two Injured In Crash Saturday Near Sterling
Paul Wellman of Rittman an Army member was injured in an auto crash near Sterling Saturday afternoon and will be moved to a military hospital from Lodi Hospital this week. Glenn Pittman also injured was released from Lodi hospital Monday. Creston nine year old Paul Pittman was uninjured. The wreck happened on Jackson road as Wellman’s car failed to negotiate a curve near Sterling. Details on the driver were not available. There is rehearsal notice for High School study hall singers with room for more participants.

One hundred fifty employees of The Ohio Boxboard Co Rittman received 25 year certificates and watches at a Garter Centris Club meeting in Akron. Fourteen others completed 25 years with the company. a second annual meeting is planned for January 15 with bus transport from Rittman and Wadsworth for attendees and spouses.

Rites Wednesday For F. E. Tucker Crash Victim
Funeral services for French E. Tucker 28 of Norton Two will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Frederick Funeral Home. He died in a head on collision Monday on Route 224 near Norton Two. Rev. Albert Henry will officiate. Burial in Rittman Cemetery. He was the eldest of 14 children of Mr and Mrs James G Tucker. Tucker was pronounced dead at Barberton Citizens Hospital. The crash involved a diesel tractor trailer carrying 35 000 pounds of beef from Fort Wayne Indiana to Pittsburgh. Truck driver Russell Hasunbilier 38 of Berne Indiana is in fair condition. The car pulled from the opposite lane and struck the truck, causing the truck to veer off Route 224 and strike several trees. Tucker recently was laid off from National Tube Co Lorain. He attended Rittman High School and served two years in the Army including service in Japan. He is survived by his parents five sisters Mrs Bertha Holden of Wadsworth Mrs Doris Damron Rittman Joan Glenna Rhonda all at home seven brothers Forest Lowell Dallas Bernard Glen Roger and John at home.

Beery 4 Dies After Darting Into Road in Ohio
Four year old Mark Wayne Beery was fatally injured Friday evening when he darted in front of a car driven by Robert Lee Buckingham on Sterling Road near Rittman. He died at Lodi hospital from a broken neck. Funeral services were held Monday at Apostolic Christian Church with burial in church cemetery. He is survived by his parents two sisters and grandparents among others.

Local volunteers launch the March of Dimes campaign in Rittman with co chairs Mrs R D Wenger and Don Stepfield. A carnival at Rittman High School and a Mothers March on Polio on January 27 are planned to raise funds amid ongoing research. Dime folders will be distributed to schoolchildren and several club members organize booths and entertainment for the carnival while volunteers seek more helpers and coin containers are placed around town.
