Mass Polio Vaccination Set in Rittman This Month
Rittman joins Wayne County in a mass vaccination drive using the Sabin oral polio vaccine. Dr Cahit Chorba and pharmacist Don Stepfield lead the program with the Wayne County Medical Association and county druggists. Services Friday For Mrs Lunter In Rittman
Mrs Mary Lunter 60 of 96 North Third Street died Tuesday night after a short illness at Wadsworth Municipal Hospital. Born in Czechoslovakia she came to Rittman 32 years ago and belonged to St Matthews Lutheran Church Barberton. Survived by husband Joseth son John mother Mrs Mary Portro and three grandchildren. Services Friday 1 30 pm at Gillman Haines Funeral Home with burial in Rittman Cemetery. Rev Paul Grex to officiate. Friends may call Thursday 7 10 to 9 pm at the funeral home.

Longtime couple marks 57th wedding anniversary
Mr and Mrs W Bassett Hurt recently celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary. They live in a soc house and faced grasshoppers in the West while raising a family. Married December 29 1904 in Keokuk they began life in Macomb before homesteading in Southeastern Montana in 1917.

Minstrel Show Practice Starts Wednesday in Rittman
Devotees of old time minstrel shows learn the practice begins Wednesday night at the Hisar School band room. The three evening production runs March 15 16 and 17 in the broh school auditorium. Grandson of Semler's Is Academy Alternate Grandson Named
The grandson of Semler's Is Academy, Pfc Aykroyd, has been named as an alternate to the United States Military Academy at West Point. The 1961 Heidelburg High School graduate, son of Lt Col Albert W. Aykroyd, is stationed at Fort Belvoir and is the second alternate in a two week run of appointments announced by Rep. Frank T. Bow. His ROTC-commander father heads ROTC at the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
