Truck Crashes Garage After Bank Alley Mishaps
An Ohio Boxboard truck driven by Earl Hammer crashed into the west side of Burker's garage after skidding off the Icy Bank alley curve. It was the fourth accident at the same spot since early summer near The Rittman Savings Bank, as driverless cars rolled down the inclined alley and struck the garage wall.

Three More Tilts Remain On 1940-41 Cage Schedule
The Rittman High Indians near the end of their 1940-41 basketball schedule with a Central Buckeye contest against Loudonville in Loudonville at 8 p.m. Friday. After that, two home games and an open date follow, including Coventry here at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, February 27 against Millersburg in the final league game, with March 1 as an open date. The Indians seek another league win and to avenge a prior loss to Loudonville, aided by the return of Milford and Zivkovich. Mrs Landis a lifelong Rittman resident died Friday morning at her N Main Street home. A short service was held at the home followed by 3 p m services at First Brethren Church officiated by Revs Curry and McFadden. Burial was in Acme Mennonite Cemetery. She leaves two sons Willard of Akron and Owen of Rittman.

Services were held Sunday afternoon at Creston Methodist Church for Frank L. Leggett who collapsed Thursday entering The Ohio Boxboard Co. where he worked 18 years as a water tender. Rev. B. Conn officiated. Burial was in Creston Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, a son Merle of Medina, a brother Eric Leggett, a sister Mrs. Ella Derhammer of Chippewa, and two grandchildren.
