Engine Accident Claims Two Orrville Men
Two Century Wood Preserving Company workers in Orrville were killed when a yard engine hauling ten box cars jumped the track at 11:45 am on Monday. The dead are Allen Wade, the locomotive engineer, and Harry Humbie Conductor. Humbie was to receive a 20 year service pin at the company safety party scheduled for that evening.

C E Societies Attend Anniversary Banquet
The Christian Endeavorers of the Presbyterian and United Brethren Churches led by Miss Ruth Webner and Miss Gloria Ann Stocker attended the 60th Anniversary Banquet of C E International held Monday February 10 at the Smithville Inn. About 50 youths from two churches formed the county's largest community representation. A quartet led by Frank Hickin performed, Dan Somers played the xylophone, and Miss Dorothy Stauffer of Madisonburg TEC introduced the new state secretary. Reverend Jim Thomas delivered the principal address, urging a 60 year renewal of Christian Endeavor work.

Police News: Clyde Stearns Collides With Northbound Car
Clyde Stearns of Wadsworth pulled from a curb on Main Street in front of the Ideal Bowling Alleys at 6 15 pm Sunday and collided with a northbound car driven by Co M Forman. Damaged were the left front fender of the Stearns car and the right front fender of the Forman car. The accident was investigated by Marshal Heffelman.

Randolphs Magician Delights 275 at School Auditorium
Randolph presented Magic DeLuxe before over 275 attendees in the high school auditorium. Garage Fire At Strickland's Chevrolet Garage Damages
Fire at Strickland's S Main street Chevrolet Garage caused more than 5000 in parts and equipment losses and 3000 in building damage. The blaze started from a gas water heater in the back shop at 930 am Monday, destroyed a roof section, and drew village and community fire units for two hours. Mechanic Noy Fix was burned and hospitalized but expected to be released this week. Four cars were damaged, one completely, as owner Hugh Strickland and staff salvaged gear and moved operations to a temporary site in the Sigler block. The all earth owned by Noble Yarman of Wooster and the shop would be rebuilt immediately.
