Years of effort by the Rittman Planning Commission produced a draft to replace the present Planning and Zoning Ordinance. A Feb 13 public hearing will address the plan which creates nine new zoning classifications including a Residential Estate category requiring 25 000 sq ft lots and 100 ft min dimensions.
The Women's Missionary Society of First Baptist Church will meet Thursday Feb. 2 at 7 30 p m at the church. Rev Charles Turner pastor of First Brethren Church will show pictures of his trip to South America. Mrs Donald Fisher is programme leader. Hostesses are TSF Jakke Watson Mrs Clyde Greer and Mrs Earl Alford.
Bud Boring of Rittman will head the 1967 Easter Seal Drive for Wayne County. He has served on the county committee for Crippled Children and as treasurer, organizing volunteer efforts for the February 20 to March 26 campaign. He emphasizes helping crippled children gain dignity and independence, noting local support will aid services today and in Akron. Boring, a North High and Akron University alumnus, served in the Marines after enlisting in 1942 and participated in Guadalcanal and the Pacific theater, returning to work with his daughters Rebecca and Barbara.

Gene L Over aged 36 son of Leonard G Over 62 Warren Street Fremont California died Friday night after a one car crash while returning home from bowling. He was an engineer inspector of tunnels and dams for California and served in US Army engineers topographical division overseas in 1952. He belonged to Wadsworth Lodge 385 Free and Accepted Masons and Delta Sigma Phi. Surviving are wife Alluyn four children his mother Mrs Hilda Over Norton Center and a sister Mrs Robert Caulkins Delaware. Services and burial were in Fremont California.
Martha Kinney Cooper Ohioana Library Association invites members to a luxury cruise to Expo 67. Co chair Mary Jane Frey invites Wayne County members to sail from Cleveland on June 16 aboard the SS South American for a three day stay in Montreal at Expo 67 with meals on board and hotel service. Rates range from 279 to 318 per person.
Rittman Historical Society offers memorial sections of the Old Knupp Church floor for $20 each to honor family members or relatives. About 17 sections have already sold as restoration progresses ahead of schedule with walls finished and vesti ble paneled, ceilings and belfry work completed. Donations from locals and pledges continue, with labor provided and plans to finish carpeting in the pulpit area.
The 1967 Wayne County Lincoln Day Banquet will be Friday February 10 at the Wooster YMCA with Samuel L. Devine congressman as speaker at 6 30 pm. Honored guests include Rep John A Ashbrook and county officials. Ticket chair Dallas Kaufman notes tickets available through Wooster and county Republicans with several local supporters named.
Rittman High School considers Lindsey Williams announced Rotary Student Exchange inviting a student to study abroad for a year in pre college education. Eligibility includes age 16, top third scholastically, and last two pre college years. host clubs provide housing and meals with a $15 monthly allowance. parents cover travel, passport, and insurance costs.
A Rittman High School senior class party was disrupted when about 15 out of town youths invaded the Linden Williams home in Wadsworth. The ring leader, 17, punched a Rittman boy and injured Jerry Sprague, who required five stitches. Two attackers were captured after a foot chase. the leader was held at Wayne County jail. Police obtained 12 other names for local surveillance.
