Funeral services held for Ira A Franks 79 Apple Creek
Ira A Franks 79 of Apple Creek died Monday night after a brief illness. Funeral services were held Thursday at McIntire Funeral Home Wooster with Rev. Stanley Hartman presiding. Interment was in Apple Creek cemetery. He leaves three daughters and four sons, plus grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded by his wife in 1942. Funeral services were held for Webster Mougey 86 at Gillman Funeral Home after his death from illness. He lived in Rittman for 50 years and Wooster seven years. Survived by wife Rose, two daughters, five grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, a great great grandchild, and four sisters. Burial in Rittman cemetery. A truck train crash at the Sterling crossing killed James West of Mud Fork W Va and Abe Jackson Green of Creston. The truck entered the tracks with lights blinking. part of the truck damaged a crossing flasher. West leaves a wife and three children. Green, 27, unmarried, leaves brother Sherman. Burial for both in West Virginia Friday.
