On Friday December 18 1912 neighbors and family gathered at the home of Mrs Ellen Holm two miles southwest of Warwick to mark her eighty six birthday. The group shared memories of the old homestead then enjoyed a noon meal and music by three sons. Attendees included Jacob Switzer Abraham Switzer Cornelius Holm Edith and Mabel Holm Hye Grace Doner Ritte man and Benjamin Switzer of Akron.

In Wooster on Thursday Squire D L Bonham tied the knot for a Rittman couple after Sheriff Van Nest arranged the request. The ceremony occurred in probate court in under thirty minutes with lawyers and county officers present. Bonham forgot the license but the sheriff corrected the record so the marriage could be filed. Probate Judge Orr will resume law practice after his term ends. Willis Sigler, formerly a bookkeeper, underwent appendectomy in Wooster Hospital and is recovering well.
