Stabbing Victim Released After Incident In Rittman
Rittman police respond to a Tuesday night stabbing at the Stamper home. Jack Stamper reported being stabbed and his car wrecked. He later blamed two local men who denied involvement and were released. His wife suspects he attacked himself. Stamper was discharged and the car went missing.

Sewage board reports delay prompt renewal warning
Rittman Ohio faces a warning from the State Department of Health Water Pollution Board after the Board of Public Affairs failed to submit operating reports and an annual summary for the sewage system since December 1956. A March deadline requires cost estimates for plant improvements by April 15 1958 to avoid renewed discharge permits. Ed Musser said reports were being misrouted but the issue is resolved.

Christmas Musical Program At High School Auditorium
A Christmas program will be presented Monday at 7 45 pm in the high school auditorium replacing the regular PTA meeting. Local man hurt in one car crash near Rittman
Delmar Sword of Rittman was injured Friday night when his 1947 Ford overturned between Rittman and Sterling on Sterling Rd. He was taken to Wooster Community Hospital and confined for several days. Death of Arthur Guy McGrew Named Canal Fulton Father of Doctor
Arthur Guy McGrew 67, lifelong Canal Fulton resident and owner of Rexall Drug Store in Case Fulton, died Friday night after four months under doctor care for a heart condition. He founded the local drug business in 1914 and was active in the First Presbyterian Church Odd Fellows Elliott Lodge F A M Chamber of Commerce Stark County and Ohio State Pharmaceutical Associations and the National Association of Retail Druggists. Survived by wife Mary son Dr C A McGrew of Wadsworth brother Sidney of Alliance and three grandchildren. Funeral services were held Monday at Swigart Funeral Home Cay al Fulton with Rev Francis I Moyer officiating. Interment in Union Cemetery.
