Joint Xmas Party At Legion Home
Twenty two members attended the American Legion Auxiliary meeting at the Legion Home. The group voted to buy a Christmas tree for the party on Dec 11, donated $500 to the American Legion Building Fund, and to serve the Chamber of Commerce dinner on Jan 9. An invitation was received for Dec 23 at the Legion Home. The party will be held at the Legion Home with a covered dish dinner for all members. A Community Service report will be given by Geraldine Griffith. Entertainment by Helen Mougey Esther Overholt Bertha McGrew and Eleanor Glassner with refreshments by Bess Miller Beulah Wenger Lucy Young and Marian Landis. Dec 12 Wayne County Council meets at 2 pm at the Rittman Legion Home. members to bring 25 cent bingo prizes for Pets of the Marine Hospital and bring Christmas tree ornaments for Apple Creek State Hospital. Refreshments by Nellie Shook Louise Paul Geraldine Griffith Stella Boling and Margaret Kinney. Minnie Bodager in charge of entertainment. refreshments by Clara Daniels and Hattie Miller.

Marc Boechat left Rittman with parents twenty one years ago to settle in Neuchatel Switzerland. Sponsored by cousin Yvon Fleury of Akron he has returned to America after two weeks in Switzerland. He is an accomplished accordionist barber and pianist known in Switzerland for concerts. He will enter Garfield High School to improve English and pursue a career in Akron.
