Drowning Victim William Cooper Laid To Rest
Funeral services were held for William Cooper 51 of 978 West Hopocan Ave Barberton at Hahn Funeral Home. He drowned at Miller Lake while on vacation with wife Ruth Yarman formerly of Rittman and their son David. Cooper came to Barberton 30 years ago to work at Babcock and Wilcox Co. He is survived by his wife, son, a brother Robert, and two sisters Carrie Brown and Louise Rohn.

Joseph Wurgler Dies After Weeklong Illness in Sterling
Joseph Wurgler of Sterling died Thursday morning at Orrville Osteopathic Hospital after a weeklong illness following a heart attack. Born in Switzerland he came to the United States in 1906 and lived on a farm east of Sterling. He retired eleven years ago and was a member of the First Mennonite Church of Wadsworth. Surviving are his wife Melinda, a son Lester of RD Sterling, three grandchildren and two sisters in Switzerland. Funeral services are Sunday at 2:30 CST at Gillman Funeral Home with Rev. A. J. Neunschwander. burial at Crown Hill Cemetery south of Sterling. Friends may call Saturday evening.
